I know a lot of users on Sinsira enjoy role-playing interaction, so I was wondering if perhaps the inclusion of some forums of that type on this web site would be a good idea. I know a lot of you are active members of several communities, already. But hey, it might be fun.

So, on that note, here are several variations on my idea:

• No rules, free-for-all screwing around. Use characters from anywhere, make new ones -- just see where it takes you.
• Create a new universe and characters, story, plot, and premise therefor.
• Use an exiting universe, using this site as an alternate story line, different time period, etc.

Share your thoughts! I haven't done any 'RP' since 2005, so I totally have no idea about what I am talking.

Also, I know this may be a really bad idea. If you don't like, just say "no."

But I'll need more feedback on what sort of thing to do before I can open any forums.

Also, how should we have it moderated/controlled? Will we have single thread-based sessions, or a large, forum-based play? There are a lot of possibilities here. I know I'll probably make a free-for-all RP forum, but I just don't know if we should add more controlled areas as well.

Either way, I'll go ahead and add the free-form RP forum right now.

Someone with a long history of RPing should mod. I recommend Sicone, but he may not agree to that.

I think we should just do single thread-based ones, like on neopets and tinierme.

I've gone ahead and stuck with that for now. We can always move up to something more elaborate.

Of course. That's why I created an entire section for role-playing, but only added the one free-for-all forum. If we want to add larger thing, of course we can add it. If you want something bigger, we can arrange it. On that note, if you do want something bigger and know someone that wants to organize and operate it, I'll add the forum and make them a moderator.

Well, that would be up to the organizer(s). We could have multiple forums operating separate role-playing universes with set rules (interacting if they see fit). Since Sinsira isn't a role-playing community, I don't have any suggestions; but as I mentioned in the first post, I know we host a few such communities.

I'd actually really enjoy seeing a nice thematic role-playing forum here. It could be rather fun.

But until then, we should try out this free-for-all forum and see what it looks like we can do with it. So one of you role-players, go start something and get everyone else active on it.
